What if we did it differently? - Ben's 1x1x1 - May 30, 2025 🚀

For those of you that are new here, every week I send what I call a 1x1x1.

One thought from my week.
One interesting find/tool from my week.
One image from my life.

Let's dive in 👇

Thought from the week

What if we did it differently?

That’s the question that keeps popping up in my head lately.

Not “how do we scale faster?”

Not “how do we raise a round?”

Not “what does Harvard Business Review say?”

But:

What if we did it in a way that actually worked for the life we want to build?

I’m very lucky that I get to meet dozens of founders and business owners every month.

Many of them are incredibly successful by any metric.

But I’ve been paying attention to something else lately:

Who’s actually having fun? Who’s building a business and a life they love?

Lately I’ve been inspired by the outliers.

The ones who carved their own path, quietly and intentionally.

Built businesses they loved.

Lived lives they didn’t want to escape from.

There’s power in doing it your way.

Even if it’s slower.

Even if it looks weird from the outside.

Interesting find/tool of the week

Fathom records my calls, writes the notes, syncs to HubSpot, and feeds it all to my GPT.

Basically I show up to meetings, talk, and then AI turns it into action.

It’s like cloning myself (minus the bed head issues).

Image from my life

Not my best selfie… but definitely one of the best meals I’ve had.

Every year our friends Sara and Kellin host a brunch at the farm where Amelia and I are lucky enough to get a lot of our food. Everything served was grown right there on the property and it was incredible.

Grateful for good friends, good food, and the land that makes it all possible.

See you all next week!
