Ben's 1x1x1 - August 9, 2024 π - Losing mindsets are toxic π
For those of you that are new here, every week I send what I call a 1x1x1.
One learning, reminder, or interesting thought from my week. One interesting find/tool from my week. One image from my life.
Letβs dive in π
Interesting thought from the week
Losing mindsets are as toxic as the hot pocket I consumed yesterday.
Maybe the olympics are wearing off on me, but I have been obsessed with the idea of winning mindsets recently.
Not only do I think having a winning mindset is key for success, I think surrounding yourself with people that have winning mindsets is critical.
Examples of winning vs losing mindsets.
Losing mindset people be like:
This is going to be hard. Iβm dreading it.
Winning mindset people be like:
This is going to be hard but I will push through it and persevere.
Losing mindset people be like:
I failed, so I must not be good at this.
Winning mindset people be like:
I failed, but I will learn from this and be better because of it.
Losing mindset people be like:
Iβll never be as good as him.
Winning mindset people be like:
If I stay focused, maybe I can be as good or even better.
Losing mindset people be like:
Itβs too late to start now.
Winning mindset people be like:
F*ck what society says. Itβs never too late to start working towards my goals.
Losing mindset people be like:
Just another day.
Winning mindset people be like:
Iβll conquer the day and make the most of it.
If you have people in your life that have a losing mindset, I highly encourage you to distance yourself. Surround yourself with winning mindsets!

In my free time, I mail letters to local businesses that I think would be interesting to buy. Most of them have no interest in being my pen pal π
